I reserved a barrel of the 1983 Cask 23 for a blend to reflect both the qualities which made the 1973 so special, and the additional development of Stag's Leap Vineyards. A portion of this anniversary barrel was offered at the 1985 Napa Valley Wine Auction. The remainder is reserved for special events at the winery."
