Dow's, Vintage Port 1927
Bottled by Page and Sandeman. New Christie's Raby Castle labels based on archival material from Symington's. Cracked wax capsules. Levels: base of neck or better

Bottled by Page & Sandeman. One of the best vintages of the last century. Though there was a fair quantity bottled back in the day a lot of these bottles have been drunk making the Dow 1927 a rare find.
Tasting note: Expressive inviting nose, already spreading it’s aromas from the decanter. Refined taste with beautiful dark chocolate notes over fine subtle fruits. A phenomenal texture and length.
The second bottle was a bit more evolved, still both at a high quality. At best 99P. April 2014. EV
