Dr. Manuel José Vieira, Verdelho Sao Martinho Madeira 1910
Ex Christie's March 2017. Bin-soiled label. Level: into-neck

From the Vieira collection auctioned March 2017. Tasting note: Deep yellow color. Just after opening the bottle a touch of alcohol over good concentration. This disappeared after half an hour, clearly needed air to show itself. Quite subdued nose of dried peaches, butterscotch cookies, honey and old furniture. Deep concentration of aromas.
Full medium rich taste start, quickly filling your mouth and tickling your taste buds. Well concentrated with fine lingering acidity which balances the intense aromas. On the finish fine dried apricot fruits remain. Very good wine. 92p. Last tasted December 2016. Edwin Vos
