Quinta do Noval, Vintage Port 1966
Ex Christie's March 2016. BBR bottled in 1968. Bin-soiled and damaged label. Level: upper-shoulder
Tasting note: Light red color, a bit deeper than the Warre 63. Soft round taste, sweet with good length. Wonderful balance. Served blind by Dirk Niepoort after dinner at his house. The depth of taste, sweet, dried fruit and lighter color made me go for a classic vintage from the sixties. 1966 is sweeter then 63, to my knowledge. Very good wine. 93p. Tasted February 2014.
