Pereira D'Oliveira, Malvasia, Madeira 1875
U. into-neck, good appearance, in original carton, bottled in 2016

Tasting Note: Deep mahogany treacle colour. Beautifully complex and intense aromatics with caramel and spiced fruit cake, dried raisins, prune and treacle pudding with hints of liquorice and old oak furniture. Full bodied, mouthcoating and unctuous on the palate with a sweet core of dried fruits with a great balance of refreshing acidity. An exceedingly long finish with lingering caramel and cinnamon spices. An exceptional Madeira. Tasted 16 April 2025. Tim Triptree MW
