Jennifer Steinkamp creates spectacular digital video animations that bring nature-based imagery indoors. The artist's innovative approach involves projections that can morph the architectural structure of the space in which they are presented, providing the observer with a phenomenological experience. Fly to Mars 3 represents the constant changing of a tree exposed to the unlimited cycle and progression of seasons. The image pulsates in black void, gaining and losing foliage, inviting the viewer to contemplate of nature in a contemporary situation.
