Darren Almond (b. 1971) works across multiple mediums including photography and film to explore the transience of life and the constantly evolving nature of narrative in human experience. In A Real Time Piece, 1995, Almond placed a live video link feed into his empty studio, with nothing but a wall clock documenting each passing minute. In the Fullmoon series, Almond used long exposure times, up to 15 minutes, to document various exotic locations around the world during a full moon, creating vivid and beautiful images that transcend the documentary.
