The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged periodically along the edges to the backing board. The right upper edge is irregular in shape, presumably in keeping with the artist's choice of support. The sheet has slightly shifted in tone and its edges are discolored. Several small faint creases are occasionally to the edges. Several pinpoint spots of foxing are visible occasionally, most notably to the lower right quadrant. A small spot of discoloration is left of center. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
