The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged at the corners to the backing board and undulates slightly. Artist's pinholes are to the corners. Discoloration is along the edges. A few impasto peaks with associated wear are intermittently. Very faint fibrous accretions are occasionally. Hairline cracking and associated minute losses are intermittently, most notably to the black passages. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
