Faint wear with occasional small paper losses are visible near the extreme edges, presumably a vestige of the artist's working method. Areas of lifting are visible along the upper edge of the panel, predominantly near the left corner. A small circular area of paper loss is to the left of upper center, in a blue passage, presumably a vestige of the artist's working method. Faint creasing to the paper collage is visible occasionally, presumably a vestige of the artist's working method. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
