The spine of the sketchbook is covered with painted silver tape, and the tape and spine are partially broken. There is wear scattered throughout the covers and pages of the sketchbooks. Graffiti tags from some pages have been cut away. As a result, three fine incisions are visible to the Keith Haring drawing, one of which cuts across the center of the sheet. Some pages are slightly loose.
