The Stripe is in the Eye of the Beholder

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

CR: The sheet is hinged intermittently along the edges to the backing board. Artist's pinholes are intermittently to the corners and margins. The upper and lower edges are deckled. Soft creasing is intermittently, most notably to the lower left corner. Small tears are occasionally to the upper and lower edges. A hinging impression is to the left center edge. A few pinpoint spots of displaced media and handling marks are occasionally to the margins, presumably in keeping with the artist's working method. Under ultraviolet light, a small spot of discoloration fluoresces distinctly but does not appear to be inpainting, and is presumably related to hinging.
