The sheet is hinged at the upper corners to the backing board and undulates slightly. The edges are deckled, and faint wear and soiling are to the corner-tips. A few hairline drying cracks are in places to areas of heavier paint application, some with associated pinpoint losses, and one with a minute loss near the right edge in a yellow passage. A flattened impasto peak is to the upper right quadrant. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
