The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged at the corners to the backing board. The lower edge of the sheet is deckled. Minor wear is to the edges and corners. Drying cracks with associated pinpoint losses are visible in places, a vestige of the artist's working method. Under close inspection, pinpoint losses are visible along the extreme lower edge. A pinpoint abrasion is to the left center edge. A minute spot of loss is to the lower left quadrant. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
