Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
All collage elements appear to be present and adhere well to their underlying support. The collage elements undulate slightly, primarily to the gelatin silver prints. The maps have discoloured slightly and the signatures of (i) and (iii) have faded. There is some wear, small tears and soft creases to each part, consistent with the nature and age of the found elements. There is an area of faint staining to the paper element of (iii). Subject to the above, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
