The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The fabric, stretcher and attachments appear to be in good condition. The cotton voile is slightly slack, presumably in keeping with the artist's working method. The stretcher shows on the recto, as visible in the online illustration. There is minor fraying to the upper edge, in keeping with the choice of medium. It is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
