The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work has not been examined outside the frame, which is attached with nails to the stretcher. Minor wear is to the corners. Faint canvas draw is to the upper left corner. Hairline cracks are visible intermittently to the turning edges, and two linear hairline cracks are to the lower left quadrant, visible in raking light. A faint linear spot of soiling is right of center, in a white passage. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
