The sheet is hinged to the mat backing at the upper edge and undulates slightly. The sheet has slightly shifted in tone, most notably at the edges. The saturation of colors have diminished over time. Minor handling marks and associated creases are visible occasionally and a crease is visible at the central vertical axis, presumably a vestige of the artist's working method. Lifting is to the tape element in the lower left corner. Minute spots of discoloration and accretions are scattered throughout the sheet, some of which may be related to the artist's working method. A tiny impression is to the upper left quadrant, and a corresponding protrusion is to the upper right quadrant. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
