The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Handling marks are to the lower edge. Scattered drip marks are visible throughout, primarily to the left half of the painting. Scattered white accretions are visible to the background and edges, most notably near the upper edge. An area of faint rubbing is to the right edge above center. A horizontal linear rub mark and abrasion are left of center. A tiny drip accretion with an increased sheen is near the lower edge right of center. Two pinpoint accretions are above and left of center in the figure's sleeve. Small faint abrasions are infrequently to the background. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
