The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged with nails in four corners to its underlying support. The sheet undulates slightly. There are a few soft creases, in keeping with the artist's working method. There is a minor repaired tear to the lower horizontal edge. It is our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
Catalogue illustration: The inscription along the upper edge is slightly darker in reality. The sheet is whiter and the light red is pinker in reality.
