The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. The canvas is not lined. There is a pinpoint paint loss to the extreme lower edge in the lower right corner. There are few faint spots of accretions in places. There are a few cracks in the violet, red and grey passages. There is some rubbing to the green passage. When examined under ultraviolet light there is no indication of inpainting. It is our view that the work is in generally good condition.
