Composition

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is laid in places along the edges on the reverse to its underlying support. There are small remnants of adhesive due to previous hinging to the margins, not affecting the image. The upper horizontal and vertical edges are uneven. The sheet undulates slightly. There are a few pinpoint paint losses to the lower edge and a few scattered points of lifting to the varnish layer. Subject to the above, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
