拍品的状况可能存在极大差异，而由于其性质使然，拍品难以处于完美无瑕的状态。拍品均以拍卖时的状况出售。

The sheet is hinged to the backing board at the corner-tips and periodically along the edges and undulates very slightly. The edges of the sheet are deckled. Artist's pinholes are to the corner-tips. Faint creasing is to the lower right corner-tip and along the lower edge. Visible under close inspection, a faint linear scuff is to the upper left quadrant and another is just above center. Tiny losses, some slightly lifting and some with associated cracks, are occasional, most notably near the margins and in the areas of thicker application of white pastel. A few tiny accretions are infrequent. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
