The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The smaller sheet is hinged to the backing board at the upper corner-tips and lower center edge, and the larger sheet is hinged to the backing board at the corner-tips and periodically along the edges. Both sheets undulate slightly. Artist's pinholes are to the upper corner-tips. A pinpoint accretion is to the upper left quadrant of the smaller sheet, and a faint fibrous accretion is left of the center upper edge of the larger sheet. Faint handling marks are infrequently near the edges, and spots of stray media are to the left edge and right of center of the larger sheet. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
