The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged to the backing board at the upper edge and undulates slightly. The sheet has shifted in tone. The left edge of the sheet is slightly deckled and texture variation is to the upper edge, a vestige of the artist's chosen support. A tiny loss is to the upper left corner-tip, and a few minute nicks and faint creases are infrequently to the edges and corners. Visible under close inspection and ultraviolet light, faint spots of foxing are scattered. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
