The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged to the backing board at the corner-tips and periodically along the edges, and is slightly toned. Artist's pinholes are to the lower left corner-tip and left lower edge. A few faint rubs, handling marks and tiny nicks are to the edges. A few soft abrasions are to the lower register. Hairline cracks, some with associated tiny losses, are infrequently to the areas of thicker application of paint. Visible under close inspection and ultraviolet light, pinpoint spots of foxing are occasional. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
