The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This work has not been examined unframed. The sheet is hinged to the backing board at the corner-tips and undulates slightly. The upper, left and right edges of the sheet are deckled. Faint creasing is occasional to the edges and a few tiny tears are to the upper right edge. A fibrous accretion is to the center upper edge of the composition and another is to the upper left quadrant of the sheet. Visible under close inspection, a few drip accretions are scattered to the margins of the sheet. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
