The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
(i) Untitled (Joan of Arc): The sheet is hinged to the backing board at the upper corner-tips and undulates slightly. Artist's pinholes are periodically to the upper edge, one with a corresponding tear to the upper right corner, and one is right of center. Minor wear, creasing and a few tiny nicks are to the edges and corners. Handling indents are infrequently to the sheet and visible under close inspection, three faint indentations are near the center left edge. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
(ii) Untitled:The photographs are hinged to the backing board periodically along the edges and are joined at their respective left and right edges. The prints have shifted slightly in tone. Artist's pinholes are to the upper edge and lower right corner-tip of the right photograph. A few tiny nicks are occasionally to the edges of both prints and tape residue is to the lower left edge of the right photograph. Possible print processing marks and very fine microabrasions are occasional. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
(iii) Untitled (Wichita): The sheet is hinged to the backing board at the upper corner-tips and undulates slightly. Faint creases are to the corner-tips and edges of the sheet. A small tear is to the left upper edge, possibly studio-related. Handling indents are occasional and visible under close inspection, a pinpoint indentation is to the lower left edge. A few pinpoint accretions are infrequent. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
