The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This work has not been examined unframed and the side edges of the canvas are covered in twill. The side edge is visible in places to the upper edge. Hairline tension cracking is to the turning edges. Minor wear and minute losses, with a more notable one near the left edge above center, are to the edges and corners. A linear rub is to the lower left quadrant in a dark green painted passage. Hairline cracks are scattered throughout, with two radial cracks to the upper right quadrant and one below center. Visible under ultraviolet light, small spots of inpainting are occasionally near the left edge and a few are scattered to the interior.
