The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged to the backing board at the upper corner-tips and undulates slightly. The egdes of the sheet are slightly deckled. Artist's pinholes, with a few associated tiny tears and losses, are to the corner-tips and a tiny loss is to the upper left corner-tip. A tiny accretion is to the upper left corner-tip, and two soft creases are to the lower left corner. A small spot of skinning is to the center right edge and a very faint horizontal transfer mark is visible to the lower edge, presumably a vestige of the artist's working method. Visible under ultraviolet light, a small drip fluoresces to the right upper edge. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
