The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. All elements appear to be present and adhere well to their underlying support. There are a few surface irregularities in places, presumably in keeping with the artist's working method. There are minor tension cracks in places to the extreme edges. There are a few drying cracks in places, most notably to the thicker bronze impasto passages. There is a minor loss to the lower right quadrant to the left of the signature. When examined under ultraviolet light there appears to be no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
