The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There is some minor rubbing to the corners. There are a few handling marks in places to the white border to the extreme edges. There is a minor hairline abrasion measuring approximately 1.8in. to the white passage to the right vertical edge. When examined under ultraviolet light there appears to be no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
