拍品的狀況可能存在極大差異，而由於其性質使然，拍品難以處於完美無瑕的狀態。拍品均以拍賣時的狀況出售。
The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There is some minor rubbing to the extreme edges with a few associated pinpoint paint losses to the extreme corners. There are a few pinpoint accretions in places, most notably figure’s nose. There is a a hairline tension crack to the extreme left vertical edge. When examined under ultraviolet light there appears to be no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
