The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Not examined out of frame. The work appears to be flush mounted to its underlying support. There is minor rubbing to the corners and to the extreme right vertical edge, with one pinpoint paint loss to the purple passage. There are a few small indentations to the extreme upper horizontal edge, possibly occurring in the artist’s studio. When examined under ultraviolet light, there appears to be no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
