The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet has been laid on board after execution and the board is hinged on the reverse in places to its underlying support. The lower edge is serrated and there are pinpoint losses to the upper corners and the extreme edges. There are two areas of historic repaired tears to the right edge, the longest measuring approx. 2in. in length. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
