The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. The canvas undulates slightly along the upper horizontal and left vertical edges. There are losses to the four extreme corners and some minor tears corresponding to the nails along the left vertical edge. There are a few linear tears in places, predominantly to the four corners and to the upper left quadrant. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
