The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

(i): pot 5: The work is structurally sound. There are a few firing cracks in places, presumably in keeping with the artist's working method. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.

(ii): hole 28: The work is structurally sound. There is some discolouration in places, presumably related to previous restoration. When examined under ultraviolet light there are a few horizontal lines which fluoresce in a manner consistent with retouching and restoration.
