FURTHER DETAILS
This diptych by Thierry Noir is inspired by the artist’s mural at 117 Wallis Road in London. Created in 2015, at the time the building housed a nightclub and music venue called ‘Shapes’ which Noir referenced and celebrated when depicting two guitarists on the building. Like many independent nightlife venues in London in recent times, Shapes was forced to close in 2016 because of planning issues. But this subsequent diptych retains the title of the former venue upon which the mural was first painted.
