Minor creasing and discolorations are visible throughout the work, primarily around the edges, due to the nature of the artist’s working method. There is a dark accretion on the head of the black fish, in which several white fibers are embedded. Fine white and brown fibers are embedded throughout the work, which is consistent with the artist’s working method. Pinpoint dark accretions are scattered over the bodies of the green and yellow fish. There are a few small holes on the surface of the work along the lower right edge due to the nature of the material. The lower edge is deckled.
