The hinge has been repaired under the direction of the Calder Foundation. The work is structurally sound. Surface variation, including faint surface scuffs, fine scratches and a few faint spots of discoloration are occasional, most likely in keeping with the artist's working method and choice of medium. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
