The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged to the backing board along the upper edge. The sheet has shifted slightly in tone. Visible under close inspection and raking light, a few faint creases are near the edges. A few pinpoint losses are infrequent. Visible under close inspection and raking light, faint linear abrasions are ocasional, most notably to the black painted passages. Pinpoint spots of foxing are are occasional, also visible under ultraviolet light. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
