The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas is slightly slack and a strip frame is affixed to the side edges of the canvas. A layer of surface dust is present, most notably to the lower register. Fibrous accretions are accretion and a stray fiber is to the lower right edge. A faint abrasion is near the upper left edge, another is to below center in a brown painted passage and a few more are scattered to the lower register. Visible under close inspection, faint drying cracks are occasional to the black painted passages, most notably to the upper center edge. A soft indentation is below center to the right in the black painted passage. Visible under ultraviolet light, a few drip accretions fluoresce below center. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
