Light soiling is visible intermittently at the turning edges and corner tips. A couple of faint drip accretions are visible on the upper side edge. Cracking is scattered throughout the black passages in the upper half and lower third of the painting. Under raking light, a faint scuff is visible running vertically below the 'S' in Boots. Under ultraviolight light inpainting is visible to many of the cracks.
