The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The unstretched canvas is laid down periodically along the edges to the board and undulates slightly. Minor fraying, wear, discoloration, small indentations and a few tiny nicks are occasional, likely in keeping with the artist's working method. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
