The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas is slightly slack and undulates. Handling marks and minor wear are to the corner tips and turning edges, presumably in keeping with the artist's choice of medium and working method. Fine drying cracks are intermittently to heavier areas of impasto, particularly in the blue, white and lilac painted passages. Minor wear, rubbing and associated loss are to a few impasto peaks, and a small loss is to a red and black impasto peak above center. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
