The sheet is hinged at the upper corners to the backing board and has deckled edges. Pinholes are to the corners, and one is to the center left edge, presumably a vestige of the artist's working process. A minute tear is to the center lower edge. A small, soft crease is to the lower left corner, one is to the upper right corner and one with associated pinpoint losses of paint is to the lower right corner. A small spot of disturbed fibers is to the center. There are a few minute hairline cracks to the lower edge in areas of heavier application of medium. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
