The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged to the backing board at the upper corner-tips. The sheet has shifted in tone. Artist's pinholes are to the corner-tips. Minor wear, frame abrasions, tiny nicks, a few pinpoint tears, creasing and a few pinpoint losses are to the corner-tips and edges. Scuffs, accretions and linear abrasions are occasional, most notably below center in an orange painted passage. Faint spots of foxing and tiny spots of discoloration are scattered, also visible to the reverse. A tiny loss is to the lower right corner of the house in a black painted passage and a pinpoint loss is below center near the center lower edge in an orange painted passage. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
