The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
A few minute losses and superficial scratches are to the frame. The canvas is slightly slack, and faint stretcher bar impressions are visible to the edges. A few faint, pinpoint accretions are near the left lower edge, and a few minute blue ones are below center, possibly related to the artist's working method. Under ultraviolet light, a horizontal line near the lower edge and a minute linear spot near the center left edge fluoresce distinctly but do not appear to be inpainting. A minute spot of possible inpainting is right of center in a yellow passage, visible both in natural and under ultraviolet light. Under ultraviolet light, a few small spots of inpainting are visible to the left upper edge, also visible in raking light.
