The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas is slightly slack, and minor wear with associated rubbing is to the corner-tips and extreme edges. Faint tension cracking is occasional to the upper turning edge. Very faint stretcher bar impressions are to the horizontal edges with associated cracking to the upper horizontal edge. A few tiny losses are occasional. Visible under close inspection, a few very fine hairline cracks are occasional. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
