Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The canvas is slightly slack. Hairline tension cracking is to the corner-tips and turning edges. A few small networks of hairline cracking are occasional, most notably to the right half of the canvas. A faint scuff is to the upper right quadrant in a white painted passage. A tiny impasto peak with slight yet stable lifting is to the upper left quadrant in a brown painted passage and a small loss is to the lower left quadrant in a brown painted passage. Visible under raking light, a linear nascent crack is to the lower right corner in a white painted passage. Pinpoint accretions are occasional. Visible under ultraviolet light, a handling mark is to the upper right edge, likely studio related and a very faint inactive mold pattern is to the reverse.
